LOOP Theatre

Loop Theatre is an inclusive physical theatre charity based in Govan, Glasgow.

We deliver movement led creative sessions for adults, creating supportive and welcoming spaces where people can explore, connect and create together.

Our work is rooted in physical theatre practice. We focus on expression through the body, using movement as a starting point so that everyone can begin from an equal place. This removes barriers often associated with traditional drama and allows participants to engage in a way that feels natural and accessible.

While our work begins with movement and physical expression, we also explore other creative forms such as storytelling, imagery and, where appropriate, voice. These elements are introduced in a way that supports all participants to engage, develop confidence and discover different ways of expressing themselves.

We work with adults with additional support needs, people living with dementia and members of the local community.

Our approach is person centred and process led. We prioritise wellbeing, confidence and shared experience, with creativity as a way to build connection and community.

Our Volunteer Coordinator role is supported by the Volunteering Support Fund, funded by the Scottish Government and delivered by Impact Funding Partners.

Safeguarding 

Loop Theatre is committed to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all participants.

We follow safeguarding best practice in our work with adults at risk, and all staff and volunteers are appropriately trained and supported, including PVG checks where required.

Safeguarding is embedded in our approach, with clear procedures in place to support the wellbeing of everyone involved in our sessions.
