Game’s A Bogey

“Game’s a Bogey, the man in the lobby, come out, come out, wherever you are? What’s your potential? Do you have what it takes to pass the assessment? In Game’s a Bogey you will be tried and tested; no questions asked, given or taken. Sign up to the interactive game in a race against time. You must be the best, have the best team and prove to be the ones with the most POTENTIAL.

We at the Professional Institute of Potential shall be watching you! Let the games begin!”

This exciting, interactive and boundary-pushing performance will use games as stimulus, drawing performers and audience into an unknown world. Using classic game tools, the audience determines the direction of the piece, resulting in a performance of unbridled play with a motif that is accessible and recognisable for all. The performance will involve stations, through which an usher will guide players. The audience will be invited to participate in the game by carrying out everyday tasks, which lead to epic challenges.

Created in partnership with Surge for Merchant City Festival 17 and in response to our participants own experience with bureaucracy in social care and welfare.

This project was funded by Creative Scotland.
