Laura Edwards

Artistic director

Laura has over 20 years’ experience in teaching drama and movement to those with additional support needs. Laura has also worked as a director and performer.  She has trained in theatre, acting, clown, dance therapy and physical theatre  in London, Scotland and New York.

Janine Fearn

Associate Director

Janine is co-founder of LOOP Theatre and has fifteen years of performance and facilitation experience under her belt. She delivers workshops in a variety of performance styles, including dance, clown and physical theatre and has worked with a number of youth and community projects across Scotland including Theatre Modo, PEEK, Toonspeak and the SambaYaBamba Youth Street Band.

Every aspect of her work is community and people focussed and she strives to engage, motivate and inspire people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Amy Conway

Associate Director

Amy graduated from the RCS in 2009 and has since been working professionally in Scotland as a performer, theatre maker and facilitator. Since joining Loop in early 2014, Amy has performed in several productions, forming strong relationships with the permanent ensemble members. Amy specialises in voice and singing.

Ellie O’Donnell

Administrative Assistant

Ellie is Loop Theatre’s support, she works with external partners and supports our participants to access our classes. She has a passion for what she does and is an invaluable member of the team.

Nina Enemark

Associate Artist

Nina has been with Loop as an associate artist and facilitator since late 2015 and specialises in creative movement. She also works as an independent movement artist and co-director of community dance organisation The Glasgow Jam.

William Coleman

Associate Artist

William is an associate artist and facilitator at Loop. He joined the team after completing the Diploma in Physical Theatre at Summerhall and has also trained in Acting and Performance at Langside College. William enjoys working with characterisation and using his experience of theatre and movement in our Loop sessions.

Volunteers

Loop thrives on the support and insight offered by our diverse group of volunteers.  Without their constant enthusiasm and dedication our sessions would not be the same.

Supporting Artists

Loop Theatre has been lucky enough to work with many brilliant artists over the years including:

Calum MacAskill, a performer trained in physical theatre and specialising in theatrical clowning, puppetry and projection. Calum has worked with the company since its inception and is a valued contributor.

Hilde McKenna, a performer who has worked with the Elder Flowers and Hearts and Minds companies Hilde joined us for Games a Bogey and the Anti-Apathy Ambassadors.

Nicolette Macleod, an actresss, singer songwriter and graduate of the RCS. Nicollete has collaborated with us musically, most recently on our Either Side of the Clyde project.

Tom Harlow trained in physical theatre and is a performer specialising in burlesque. Tom has contributed to our Monday sessions, Games a Bogey, Moving Memories and Cinderella the StoryTella.

This is to name but a few of the valued members of the artistic community who have worked with and supported us.
