We can’t believe how quickly this year has flown by! Our 13-week Govan Community and Performance Company classes have drawn to a close with a visit to the Riverside Museum with songs and scran for Community Loopers and Scenographic Stories with some interactive eating!
Performance Company
This year, our group has been exploring the concept of “DESIGN” and what that might mean for us in our group, company and industry. Our term began by designing our warm-ups, learning about the diverse ways our body can move, interact and create and what we need to do sometimes to make sure our bodies, voices and minds are ready to do Physical Theatre.
The group also worked with Theatre Designer Brian Hartley to devise a place for a story and create set models of it in groups. Each group used different materials to create a 3D model and then shared it with the group. The group then used these scenes to develop soundscapes and stories based on their concepts.
